Hotel Gran Centenario - Merida

Gran Centenario is a small, colorful, and friendly hotel just three blocks from the central plaza, made my exploration of local vendors and delicious gorditas super easy-only 20 pesos each! The refreshing pool was a good way to cool off after a day out and about.

Noise issues.

i had a great stay in a long time. colorful and brilliant hotel, lovely staff, really enjoyed fab location near lovely mexico, plaza grande, and shopping streets. i had brand-new and exceptionally comfortable room to myself with a queen bed and big window, for example.

The a double room with a queen bed had basic facilities you need. Everything was simply good.

The refreshing small pool offers a nice spot to cool off after exploring. Colorful decor adds character to the experience, giving the place some unique flair.

Got tossed into a weird room with three double beds when I booked a queen, and it didn't match the quality shown online. The noise from the nearby cantina made it tough to relax, while the parking ended up being pricey and not even close to the hotel. Issues with cleanliness, like a stinky bathroom and hair on the floor, didn't help the mood either.

The location was also a plus. Just three blocks from the central plaza. I loved grabbing gorditas for only 20 pesos nearby! The noise from the busy street was disruptive, especially since my room faced it. Leaving the window open was out of the question. Another downside was the parking situation, which turned out to be a paid option located far from the hotel, contrary to what was advertised. Speaking with the receptionist, he didn't seem too helpful when I raised the issue. Despite these inconveniences, the refreshing small pool was a nice retreat.

Gran centenario is a colorful gem with friendly staff and a refreshing small pool! The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the main square, restaurants, and local attractions. Housekeeping was attentive.

The street noise was particularly bothersome, keeping me from enjoying the fresh air. Parking options were expensive and far away. Consider alternative places nearby. Some improvements needed, but a decent experience.

Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, climate control, television, and a writing table in the room, with a great location near an early colonial cathedral within walking distance.

The rooms are very spacious with a balcony where you feel at home; everything is clean and well-maintained.
